HEALING PRAYER

Acolytes.heic

Praying for healing in mind, body, or spirit is a common form of intercession for ourselves, our loved ones, our nation, and our world.

Episcopal liturgy offers A Public Service of Healing suitable for use in a congregation or other church setting. At St. Stephens, we offer this service seasonally as a stand-alone service separate from Sunday Eucharist - check the calendar for current offerings.

For specific services, we may also incorporate a portion of the service into Sunday Eucharist with the Laying on of Hands, Anointing, and Intercessory Prayer.

A Public Service of Healing can be adapted as needed for use in a variety of settings, e.g., hospital, nursing home, private home, or other health care facility.

If you require this type of pastoral care, please contact us to discuss how we can support you in Healing Prayer.

These Additional Prayers are useful for both communal and private prayers for healing - if you need words of healing prayer in a time when you don’t know what to say, we offer these to you.
